Research Interests: 

  • Biodiversity, Biosystematics, Acarology, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) of various crops (Rice, Cotton, Chickpea, Brassica), Fruits, Vegetables and Stored grains, and integrated control of Fruit flies and Mosquitoes. Conducted research work on culturingof CoccinellidLadybird beetle, Chrysoperla carnea and Predatory mites as bio-control agents of insect & mite pests, and parasitoids production for biological control of Fruit flies.

 

  • Researched on insect pests scouting, monitoring and forecasting, as well as vertebrate pests control in crops and storage. Integrated plant protection practices in different crops, vegetables and orchards,quality control of pesticides, collaborated work in locating of resistance sources for rice, gram, rapeseed, mustard & cotton plants, and stored cereals and pulses for breeding.

 

  • Currently involving in culturing of insects;DNA barcoding of insects;insect bioassays for screening of Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) and Hvt(Hadronycheversuta)transgenic plants; and isolation, sequencing, identification and functional analysis of genes from insects of economic importance.
